This interview with Kabaddi referee Tarsem Singh Sandor was published on 8 April 2023. At the beginning of the interview, he was asked about the current situation of Kabaddi, then according to his experience, he told that nowadays the graph of Kabaddi is falling down. He said that Kabaddi is being conducted by the clubs based on weight category which is a good thing because again young kids and new players started paying attention to this field. He said that if they want to save Punjab’s youth or Kabaddi, the organizers should invite teams or players from their limited areas instead of inviting players from famous teams in the matches. With which the struggling players will be helped in every way and they will get due respect. Along with this, he also said that nowadays most of the coaches are those who have no experience in this field. He said that nowadays some people have become Kabaddi contractors, who invite players as per their wish to make money. He said that there is no doubt that successful players have also worked hard in life, but instead of calling those players everywhere and giving millions of prizes, new or struggling players should also be supported. Tarsem Singh Sandor said that the government has used Kabaddi, not preserved it. He said that today Haryana is ahead of Punjab in the field of Kabaddi. He said that the contract system has spoiled the game of Kabaddi. He said that the style of Kabaddi should not be changed, as Kabaddi used to be during the day, it should be the same today. He said that considering the current situation, Kabaddi players are afraid to speak the truth. Tarsem Singh Sandor told how he faced threats after the first interview. Apart from this, he shared more important information with the audience in this interview.
