This interview with Rupinder Singh Sidhu was published on 24 January 2023. In this interview, the issue of revised syllabus of PSSSB paper was discussed with him. At the beginning of the interview, he said that the issue of saving the Punjabi language is very serious. He said that PSSSB is the education board through which the paper is conducted and Punjabi language has been omitted from the papers this time. Giving detailed information about Paper A and Paper B, he said that Paper B, which is based on merit list. Punjabi subject has been removed from it which was earlier a paper of 35 marks. While sharing his views on this subject, he said that the policy of the government is correct. But the government has implemented this policy in a wrong way. He said that the government says that Punjabi will be made compulsory for clerks, but if the children have to become peons after learning Punjabi, they will prefer to study English and go abroad. Therefore, all the teachers, organizations and academies should come together and raise their voice on this subject. He said that the officers or leaders of Punjab have no information about this issue. Finally, Rupinder Singh Sandhu said that Punjabi language is in danger. To save it, we should raise our voice on this issue and the government needs to fix the revised syllabus.
