This interview with senior Congress leader Pargat Singh was conducted on 11 July 2022. At the beginning of the interview, Pargat Singh was asked by the journalist about the statement given in the Vidhan Sabha, he said that it is absolutely true that people do not care much about our political leaders. People don’t trust us much anymore because we couldn’t live up to people’s expectations. Pargat Singh said that the people of Punjab were hardworking but now they are being made so by providing everything free of cost. He said that when a state or a country is in debt, it becomes weak. When Pargat Singh was asked what such mistakes have been made by the Congress, he said that the entire system has become corrupt. He said that the current Congress is suffering the consequences of the mistakes made. This is why we need to improve. Pargat Singh was also interviewed about his statement that “Aam Aadmi Party runs from Delhi”. He described Bhagwant Mann’s sending of teachers abroad as a great opportunity. He said that Aam Aadmi Party is the B team of BJP because it is a party that emerged from India Against Corruption. This party is formed to cover the vote bank of Congress. The history of this party needs to be understood deeply. Talking about himself, Pargat Singh said that he is always concerned for Punjab and is always ready to give martyrdom. Pargat Singh said that he has done seven jobs and captained the Indian team with courage, so that passion is still in him. He said that if Raja Waring also commits any mistake, he will be opposed. About Sukhpal Singh Khaira’s statement about discrimination in the House, he said that this is absolutely correct and he called the budget just an excel sheet. Pargat Singh said that the present government needs to work on higher education. Talking about the allegations leveled by Harjot Singh Bains against Mukhtiar Ansari, Parhat Singh said that action should be taken. Pargat Singh talked about the flats and hostels given to MLAs in Chandigarh. Pargat Singh said that a regional party is now necessary but the work cannot be done without the central government.
