This interview with Karan Singh Aulakh was published on 4 April 2023. This is the young man who has permanently returned to Punjab along with his family despite being settled in Canada. It has been mentioned in this interview that as many young people of Punjab are migrating after completing their 12th standard, there are also many such young people who are returning to Punjab from abroad. He said that the reason for this reverse migration is that people are losing their families, losing their heritage and breaking away from their roots to earn money. Karan Singh said that despite having a business worth millions of dollars in Canada, after two years of going abroad, he realized that one day he would return to Punjab. This decision of Karan Singh was taken to keep his future generations connected with Punjab. With which his family and his wife also agreed. He said that of course there is a lot of money in Canada but there is no peace in that country because people think only about work day and night but in Punjab you are the owner of your choice and can earn by doing your agriculture or other work. Karan Singh said that nowadays people are going abroad even after being influenced by each other. While the children who have gone abroad have to face many difficulties besides being away from their family, struggle, stress, burden of shifts and many more. Apart from this, he said that even in foreign countries, there are more expenses and inflation than income. Karan Singh thinks that children should be connected with their region or heritage from childhood. Talking about Canada, he said that there is more gangster culture, crime or drugs than Punjab. Finally, he said that awareness has come among many youths and they are either thinking of doing something while staying in Punjab or returning to Punjab from abroad.
