This interview with Gurtej Singh Rahi was published on 8 July 2022. Who are implementing a project to conserve water and have also planted a forest. The 22 feet deep well prepared in the project is also called a drinking well. This is being done to save the crops from floods due to rains, to keep the water level correct, to put the canal water in the well and to keep the land irrigated. Gurtej Singh said that he got the inspiration to start such a project from Facebook. Giving information about the construction of the entire project, Gurtej Singh explained how the water tanks will work and how the well or the borehole will work. Gurtej Singh said that every person has to be concerned about the conservation of water. He explained how rainwater can be filtered and put into the soil to save future species and crops. He said that the government can work for water conservation by setting up big projects on the banks of Sutlej and Beas. Gurtej Singh said that Sarbat da Bhala Trust New York supported him for such a project and NRIs also supported him. Apart from this, he also gave information about the forest which has been planted with the support of Round Glass Foundation and 68 types of plants have been planted in it.
