This interview with Balkaur Singh was published on 9 August 2012. At the beginning of the interview, they were openly discussed about the old customs and culture. He said that any culture is born from a system but moral values are transferred from one culture to another because they do not change. He said that as we were slaves for thirteen hundred years, but the pride of a culture disappears in slavery. According to Baba Balkaur Singh, education should be free instead of langar(free food) so that the economic side can be strengthened. He calls himself comrade. He said that even Mahatma Buddha, Mahavira did not believe in God, but Jews, Parsis, Christians, Islam and Sikhs believed in God. He reads Guru Granth Sahib and he says that hardly anyone else has read as many books about Guru Nanak Dev Ji as he has. He said that he is very fond of reading books and after reading the book, he gives it to someone else to read. During the conversation, there was an open and detailed discussion with Baba Balkaur Singh about Punjabi, Punjabiat and the nations. Talking about the issue of Chandigarh, he said that Chandigarh belongs to Punjab and this whole issue was created by Indira Gandhi. Along with this, he also gave his opinion about the government and performance of Bhagwant Mann. Finally, talking about the situation in Punjab and the future of Shiromani Akali Dal, he said that people need to be more aware.
