Episode no.89 This interview was published on 10 October 2022 with Amandeep Singh, a student of Punjabi University, who keeps raising his voice on various issues of students. He said that due to the privatization of educational institutions, Punjab has suffered a lot. He said that this was done by the government keeping in view the income and lifestyle of Punjab so that maximum profit can be made. Because the government is doing commercialization in the name of education. He said that most of the private universities are located on the GT Road of Patiala and Chandigarh cities and not in rural areas. He said that even in sit-ins against the government, there are mostly students of government universities, who gather and hold seminars on these subjects and go from village to village to make people aware. He said that even Punjabi University charges lakhs of fees by misleading people. He said that Bhagwant Mann and Narendra Modi have a lot in common as both of them mislead people with their words. He said that the Punjab government should check the turnover of private universities and make them public. He said that Punjabi University has a debt of 150 crores of which 18 crores of interest burden has been put on student fees. He said that around 5000 Dalit students are studying whose fees have not been waived and grants have not been increased. Due to which teachers are not getting salaries and students’ fees are increasing. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party is the B team of the RSS as the BJP is the A team. Talking about the new education policy model, he said that it will be very harmful because in the future students will not be able to research historical events. During the interview, he exposed the scams of Punjab University and other universities. He said that the employees of these universities like registrar, clerk, dean, finance minister etc. should be checked by ED.He said that teachers are recruited in Punjabi University on the basis of recommendations and relatives.
