He said that the Punjabi film industry has not developed in such a way that it should be equated with the South film industry. He said that the one you help in the Punjabi industry is the one who harms you. He said that there is a system like Bollywood in Punjabi film industry too. While the people of South film industry stand for each other. He said that today the Punjabi audience does not see your hard work or acting but the number of followers on social media. He said that he always tries to show the truth and history of Punjab in his films like the film Mitti. He said that now he is thinking of starting a web series. Talking about Sidhu Moosewala, he said that Sidhu loved the movie Mitti and used to praise the movie often. Rabbi Kandola gave an insight into the film “Mitti Virasat Babbaran Di” and said that the government cannot suppress history or truth and efforts will be made to show the truth through films. Rabbi Kandola said that initially he supported Bhagwant Maan but after Sidhu’s death, he is extremely disappointed with the government’s performance. He said that if the government wanted, Sidhu Moosewala’s life could have been saved. He also shared his thoughts about the ongoing gangster culture in Punjab. Talking about the hard work he has to do to make films like learning about history and reading books etc., he told how people still react. Finally clarifying his side about Amritpal, he shared some dialogues from the movie “Masand”.
