This interview with Kabaddi player Fauji Raunta was published on 11 September 2022. In the beginning of the interview, he told what he learned in life or from Kabaddi. He said that since his childhood he was interested in Kabaddi and by watching his senior players, he knew how to behave with people and how to play. Also learned to be patient and cooperative. Fauji Raunta said that he always speaks boldly and bluntly. He said that earlier players were used to practice under the supervision of coaches in camps and were counselled about moral values and communication skills. He also talked about the negative aspects of Kabaddi. He said that the killing of Sandeep Nangal Ambian is a very sad incident due to which Kabaddi has suffered a lot. He said that nothing can be said about the conspiracy of Sandeep’s killing as the federations or gangsters, anyone could be behind it. He spoke openly about the interference of gangsters in Kabaddi and the relationship of the players with the gangsters. He said that in our time players used to be free but nowadays players are under pressure of promoters because they take money from them. He said that after the murder incidents in Punjab, everyone wants to send their children abroad. Finally, he gave a message that the players should support the truth, should not cheat anyone and should have a spirit of cooperation.
