This interview was conducted on 6 May 2022 with Karam Singh Sidhu. In the interview, he shared the techniques of organic farming with the farmers. Karam Singh said that although some villagers do not appreciate his farming techniques, but still he is satisfied with his life. He practice organic farming using organically composted manure without toxic sprays and fertilizers.He said that in the truest sense, the earth is our mother who provides us with food. In addition, he prepare manure by collecting decayed leaves of trees and excreta of other domestic animals such as sheep, goats and birds. He also make fungicides and fertilizers from human hair and horse dung. He said that he has been doing organic farming since 2004. He said that the sale of his wheat grown organically is more than the wheat grown with others’ sprays and fertilizers and the price is also decided by him. He said that he considers his work as his God. He said that farmers should grow green vegetables, fodder and wheat organically without pesticides.
